Metal Frame Spacers for Bee Hives

Keep frames evenly positioned with metal frame spacers. Installed at the frame rests, these strips guide placement and reduce hand-spacing during hive setup and inspections. Choose the option that matches your box and intended frame layout.

Choose Your Spacing Option

8-frame: Spaces eight frames in an 8-frame box.
9-frame: Spaces nine frames in a 10-frame box.
10-frame: Spaces ten frames in a 10-frame box.

Using Nine Frames in a Honey Super

Nine-frame spacing gives established comb more room to thicken, which can make uncapping easier. Use fully drawn comb when reducing a 10-frame honey super to nine frames. Widely spacing undrawn foundation can encourage unwanted comb between frames.

Quantity & Installation

Sold individually. Order two spacers per box, one for each opposing frame rest. Check the fit before fastening; some trimming may be needed because box dimensions vary by manufacturer.

Nails are not included.

This product is a great way to keep your frames evenly spaced for your bees to draw out the comb thicker.
