Important Safety Screen Information
Both feeder sizes feature a galvanized steel safety screen that allows honey bees to access sugar syrup through openings beneath the screen while helping reduce drowning risks.
8-Frame Hive Top Feeder: The galvanized steel screen rests in molded grooves along the bottom of both sides of the feeder. The screen is not secured with black plastic retaining tabs.
10-Frame Hive Top Feeder: The galvanized steel screen features black plastic retaining tabs running along both sides of the hardware cloth to help hold the screen in place.
Before First Use: Carefully inspect the safety screen to ensure it is properly seated and positioned against the feeder's corners. Adjust the screen if necessary to prevent bees from accessing areas outside the intended feeding passage.
How to Use Your Hive Top Feeder
