Help protect your colony from mice with this 10 frame metal entrance reducer and mouse guard. It covers the hive entrance with a metal barrier while leaving openings for bees to enter and exit. A practical addition to your fall and winter beekeeping supplies, it helps keep mice from nesting inside the hive and damaging comb or stored honey.
The metal construction provides a reusable alternative to a wooden entrance reducer. Designed for 10 frame bee hives, this guard can be trimmed where needed to accommodate your bottom board. If your bottom board has side rails, trim the guard to fit between the rails, as shown in the product photo.

Installation & Fit
Measure your hive entrance before installing. Trim the metal guard if necessary, then attach it securely with screws or nails. Check that there are no gaps around the ends that could allow mice to enter and that bees can move through the openings. Keep the openings clear of debris during use, and reassess entrance space as colony activity increases in spring.
Please note: Mounting screws or nails are not included. Fit depends on your bottom board configuration; trimming is required to fit inside the rails of a rail-style bottom board.
