Fume Board
Use our fume board in combination with a safe bee removal aid to remove bees from the honey supers at harvest time. Fume board is available in either 8 frame or 10 frame size. The fume board has a metal top with a canvas liner. Heat from the sun on the metal will speed up the process of clearing the bees from the supers. Spray a bee removal aid on the canvas liner of the fume board. Remove the lid and inner cover of the hive and apply a little bit of smoke to the bees. Place the fume board on the hive rotated so that the corners of the hive are open to allow air to flow through. After 2 or 3 minutes, rotate the fume board back so that it completely covers the hive and let it sit for another 4-5 minutes. Bees should then be mostly cleared from the supers.
