Special transport bags are made of a breathable mesh with a zippered closure, unlike other transport bags on the market that only have a cinch or no closure method at all. The zipper closure guarantees bees are kept securely contained inside of the bag, and not flying around inside of your vehicle. Zipper closure zips at the top; simply place your bag on the ground, set your nuc or package(s) on top, pull the bag up and zip closed. Reason the bees are in the vehicle/cab is because the Nuc can over heat the bees if left in the trunk or in direct sunlight for long trips.
After having bees get out of the nuc the first I got a nuc these were great easy to put on and no bees lose in the cab with me on the way home
At the time of ordering the bag we weren't sure if the bag was necessary, but by the time we got home with our nuc, we were thrilled to have it. We wouldn't transport a nuc without it.

We, too, were getting ready to make transport bags to pick up nucs in 2020. After what happened on our trip home this past spring when we just wrapped our nuc in a sheet, as we were instructed to do, we knew we needed a better plan. After seeing the design of the top zipper bags, I knew I couldn't make bags for the same price. Upon receiving them in the mail, we were very please. The quality is well beyond what I expected and I can relax knowing we won't have any visiting gals from the trunk next spring on our way home with our new nuc!
