Varroa Oxalic Acid Vaporizer
Oxalic acid vaporizers are a safe and natural way to control Varroa mites. This product is most effective when applied during early spring or late fall, when there is a minimal amount of brood in the hive; oxalic acid will not control Varroa mites that are in the capped brood. The Varroa vaporizer is powered by a 12 volt battery. Use 1 gram of Oxalic Acid per brood chamber; a bee hive with 2 brood boxes would use 2 grams of Oxalic Acid. The oxalic acid tray on this vaporizer is made from stainless steel, which allows for an even heating of the oxalic acid. Also, since it is made from stainless steel, you can dunk it into a pail of water to cool it down or to clean it after using.
Oxalic Acid Vaporizers are a safe way to treat your bees for Varroa mites - Oxalic Acid does not harm the brood or any of the bees, and it does not leave any harmful residuals in the honeycomb. Oxalic Acid sold separately.
Appropriate protective wear needs to be worn when administering Oxalic Acid to prevent breathing in the Oxalic Acid fumes.
